Last week it was the ball slasher, this week theres a butt slasher in the news. A man suspected of multiple assaults in Fairfax County has been arrested in Lima, Peru. According to local newspaper, Peru21, Johnny D. Guillen Pimental was picked up on Friday at a Lima, Peru shopping mall.
Since late last year, Pimental has been suspected of being the man who carried out disturbing attacks on six Fairfax, Virginia women between February and July of 2011. These incidents all bore the same signature: The assailant distracted the women while shopping and then slashed them across the buttocks. A digital re-enactment:
These attacks occurred all across Fairfax County, from Fairfax Towne Center to Tysons Corners to Fair Oaks Mall. A malicious wounding warrant had been issued for Pimental’s arrest as of the fall of 2011 but it was believed at the time he had left the area. Police also released a video of a man, believed to be the slasher, taken at the Marshall’s store at Greenbriar Shopping Center in Fairfax, where a woman was assaulted in June of 2011:
Fairfax County police were noted of Pimental’s arrest by local authorities in Lima. They expect to begin extradition proceedings shortly.
